I am looking to buy a new 300 and i am eyeing up the tikka t3. The t3 hunter offers an extensive caliber selection for hunting and sport shooting purposes. Very easy to install and looks great only negative was not from the pad purchased but the factory screws that secure the pad to the butt of the stock are not stainless and were corroded on a brand new tikka t3 had purchased from local sports shop for a significant discount over the new. I ve done lots of looking but have failed to find any info on laminated stocks. They are typically 12 oz more. If tikka s numbers are correct with the synthetic stock the rifle weighs 5 9 pounds and with the laminate stock it weighs 6 6.
